Leigh Thompson is the J. Jay Gerber Professor of Dispute Resolution & Organisations in the Kellogg School of Management. She teaches the full-time MBA programme, Executive MBA programme and Doctoral programme, along with several courses in Kellogg’s non-degree Executive Education programmes.
Her research and training focuses on the areas of negotiation, teamwork, leadership, creativity, decision making, conflict resolution and emotional intelligence. Based on rigorous management theory, Leigh’s training objective is to improve the ability of people to maximise their personal effectiveness.
She has published more than 134 research articles and chapters in edited books and has authored 10 books of her own, including The Mind and Heart of the Negotiator and Creative Conspiracy: The New Rules of Breakthrough Collaboration.
Leigh’s previous clients include Microsoft, United Health Group, Unilever, Abbott Laboratories, GE Capital, LaSalle and Google.
